 Forged by Shosui Takeda of Takeda Hamono, Okayama, Japan. This Yanagiba vintage was forged in 2008 in memory of a former companion of Takeda in Germany. In 2015 we visited Takeda's workshop and came across this knife and 14 others, but all of them were in terrible shape after all those years in the workshop without being serviced. After asking, Takeda allowed us to re-finish this Yanagiba, so we brought him to the sharpener.
